Tassimo Single Serve Coffee Brewer

When these single serve coffee centers first emerged several years ago, I laughed. When they started to get popular, I thought it was a fad that would quickly die out. Time marched slowly on and now I finally get it! If you're looking for quick and easy, then the Tassimo Single Serve Coffee Brewer is probably exactly what you're looking for.

When it comes to these single cup (or single serve if you'd rather call them that) machines, you have several different options including Tassimo, Nespresso, Keurig, Sanseo and others. Tassimo is definitely at the top of that list and I'll talk about why...

Let's Look At The Machine

Tassimo Single Serve Coffee Brewer
This is the flagship model in the Tassimo Universe. It has a sixty-seven ounce water tank that you can remove for easy fill-up and cleaning. It also has two MAVEA water filters which is a nice touch.

It comes with a LED interface which sets it apart from some of the more basic and less expensive Tassimo machines such as the T20.

Keep in mind that Tassimo machines use T-discs (guess what the "T" stands for!) instead of capsules or E.S.E. Pods like some other single-cup machines on the market today. Bosch has teamed up with Starbucks to give you lots of different options as far as coffee flavors go.

One of the nice features of this machine is that the actual brewing is done inside the T-disc itself - not the machine. This works nicely because there is no "flavor transfer" when you brew back-to-back cups of coffee. For instance, if you want to brew two different flavors of coffee (one after another), the taste of the first coffee won't leak into your second cup - and you don't have to clean the machine between cups.

This is a major benefit over some other single cup machines and what makes the Tassimo a nice alternative to look into.

What Others Are Saying About It

The Tassimo has one hundred and ninety-three customer reviews at Amazon. That's a huge number, let me tell you! Most espresso machines have 30-100 at the most. The breakdown is as follows: one hundred twenty-seven 5 star reviews, twenty-eight 4-star, seventeen 3-star, four 2-star, and seventeen 1-star.

That's an average of about four and a half out of five stars - which is essentially unheard of. This is a very well reviewed machine, to say the least. What's more, the people who like this machine tend to really like it.

What's The Bottom Line

If you're looking for a single-cup brewing machine and you have your heart set on a Tassimo, then this is the machine for you. You can find cheaper models with less bells and whistles, but they aren't that much cheaper. Spend a few extra bucks to get this nicer looking model.

I'm never going to stop using my espresso machine, but if I did; I would seriously consider buying a Tassimo Single Serve Coffee Brewer. It's a great machine that does exactly what it's supposed to do and has a groundswell of popular support from it's past customers.
