How To Store Your Keurig K-Cups

Anyone that's been reading my articles here at espressoshack.com for very long know that I'm not a huge fan of those new single cup coffee machines that have erupted with great popularity onto the market within the last few years. But I'm slowly starting to warm to them, and especially the Keurig single cup machines.

One problem that a lot of people do tend to have is not with the machines themselves, but with storing all the k-cups! See, these machines don't use coffee beans, they use cups. While that's very convenient it does pose a bit of a storage problem because they can take up a heck of a lot of room.

Also, most people don't just buy one flavor, they buy many different flavors to keep things fresh. So you can't just dump them all in a drawer or you'd never be able to find the one you want. The solution? A custom K-cup holder!

You Have Many Different Options In A K-Cup Holder

Today I'm going to take a quick look at three very popular options when it comes to K-cup holders. Any one of these will very likely suit your needs just fine, so really it comes down to storage capacity and design. Pick the one that will hold the number of cups you usually buy, and pick the one that you like the look of the best!

Keurig 5071 K-Cup Carousel Tower

Keurig 5071 K-Cup Carousel TowerThis is a very stylish model that seems to be a little more sophisticated than some of the other models out there. It's definitely more compact.

It holds 30 K-cups and has a Lazy Susan base so that you can easily swivel it around to grab your favorite K-cup. It measures about thirteen inches high by seven inches wide. It costs $34 making it a little more expensive then others.

At Amazon it had 56 customer reviews, and 44 of them were 5-star with another six being 4-star giving it an average of 4 and a half out of 5 stars. People dig it.

Keurig 5060 K-Cup Carousel

At $26, this guy is a little more bulky, and a little less compact then the tower. It only holds 27 K-cups which is three less then the tower. It measures at 12.8 inches high by 7.1 inches wide.

At Amazon it had 21 reviews and nineteen of them were 5-star and other 1 was 4-star.

Keurig 5060 K-Cup Carousel - Chrome

Keurig 5060 K-Cup Carousel, ChromeFinally, this is basically the same model as the last one, but in chrome. It will hold 27 k-cups, and measures 8 inches by 8 inches by 10 inches.

Because of the chrome, it costs a little more, specifically $29. This is clearly the most popular K-cup holder on the market with 245 customer reviews at Amazon. 162 were 5-star, 33 were 4-star, 15 were 3-star, 13 were 2-star, and 22 were 1-star.

Clearly any of these holders will do the job for you, it's just a matter of personal taste. For me, I like sleek, so I'd go with the tower. But the other one is just as nice (though I do recommend you spend a couple extra dollars and get the chrome feature).

What's The Bottom Line?

I've seen it time and time again when people buy one of those single cup coffee center machines. They don't think they'll need to buy a storage system for the cups, but trust me; it will make your life much much easier. And at around $20-$30 bucks (on sale below) for any of them, it's a real no brainer! I suggest you grab one right away!
