How Much Should You Spend On A Breville Espresso Machine?

Last week my cousin called me up with a question. She'd heard that Breville espresso machines were pretty good and wanted me to tell her which one was right for her. The first thing I asked her was how much money she wanted to spend.

When it comes to Breville espresso machines, you have a pretty broad range of prices to pick from. The good news is they have something for just about every price range. Let's take a look at what you can expect to pay...

Breville Espresso Machine Price Ranges

When you get right down to it, you're really only looking at 3 or 4 main espresso machines. It doesn't get much more straight forward than that! If price is your main motivation, the decision is easy...you just pick the machine that fits your budget. Let's take a look at those different options:

  • Breville ESP6SXL Cafe Modena Espresso Machine - $149 (see my review)
  • Breville ESP8XL Cafe Roma Stainless Espresso Maker - $299 (see my review)
  • Breville 800ESXL Commercial 15-Bar Triple-Priming Die-Cast Espresso Machine - $523 (see my review)
  • Breville Barista Express BES860XL machine with grinder - $598 (see my review)

As you can see...there's quite a price variance there to choose from which makes the decision really easy if price is your main motivator. For instance, if you only have $150 to spend, then the Cafe Modena is your machine!

The only time it gets a little tricky is between the Barista Express and the 800ESXL Commercial since both are pretty close in price. In that case you might want to do a little more research to determine which of the two is right for you.

As you can see on that list above, I've reviewed each of those machines in detail myself right here on this web site so You can read all about each of those machines at your leisure. Just click on the link above or you can also find the complete list at the bottom of this page.

Your main espresso machine companies usually have dozens of machines to pick from which can make it a little confusing when picking the espresso maker that's right for you. Fortunately Breville doesn't make that many different machines so you really can just grab the machine that's in your price range.

Of course, it gets a little trickier if you're comparing a specific Breville Espresso Machine with a comparable machine from another company....but that's a whole other article! ;-)
